STUN(Simple Traversal of UDP through NATs(Network Address Translation))は、NATファイアウォールまたはルーターの背後にあるデバイスのパケットルーティングを支援するプロトコルです。RFC 5389 では、STUN という用語が「Session Traversal Utilities for NAT」と再定義されています。
- - STUNにより、デバイスは自身のパブリックIPアドレスと、接続先ネットワークで使用されているNATの種類を検出できます。
- - STUNはTCPおよびUDPのポート3478で動作します。
- - STUN は、VoIP デバイスではまだ広くサポートされていません。
- - STUNは、ドメインに割り当てられたSTUNサーバーを検出するためにDNS SRVレコードを使用する場合があります。サービス名は_stun._udpまたは_stun._tcpです
