Sign in to the customer portal and select the intended Hosted PBX. Check its name or billing code before editing; each PBX has separate extensions and call routes.
Choose the right scope
These settings apply across the selected PBX. Use an extension, phone-number or queue setting when only that one resource needs different behavior.
| Area | What to review |
|---|---|
| Calling | Dial timeout, maximum duration, outbound access digit, caller-ID defaults, parking and audio levels. |
| Voicemail | Prompt language, mailbox access and PIN behavior. |
| Recordings and fax | Format, delivery addresses, storage and retention. Emailing a recording creates a separate copy. |
| Music on hold | The selected recordings or supported streaming source. |
| Security and diagnostics | Source restrictions and diagnostic capture/retention settings. |
| Integrations | Call-start/call-end actions and the credentials and permissions used by an approved integration. |
Apply a change
- Record the current value and identify the extensions and routes that will be affected.
- Change the required setting and review the proposed values before saving.
- Test representative inbound/outbound calling, voicemail, hold/transfer and the relevant fax or integration workflow.
- Restore the previous value if the change does not produce the intended result.
