This is production service. Access follows individual identity verification, use-case review, payment requirements and enabled capabilities. Creating an account or reading documentation does not activate API credentials or messaging.
Keep application messaging separate from personal mobile service
All API-originated SMS/MMS is A2P, even when the application is used only by you or your household. Developer API credentials cannot access Consumer/P2P messaging, personal mobile numbers or voice/text eSIM resources. Those services are provisioned separately under Personal & Family.
For your organization, choose Business. For resale or use by downstream customers, choose Communications Provider. Developer & Automation does not authorize either use.
