Sign in to the customer portal and select the intended Hosted PBX. Check its name or billing code before editing; each PBX has separate extensions and call routes.
Add a shortcut
- Create a short number using digits that do not overlap extensions, feature codes, conferences or emergency dialing patterns.
- Enter the complete destination number in the format accepted by the editor.
- Add a description so another administrator knows whom the shortcut reaches.
- Review and save, then dial the shortcut from a phone that should be permitted to use it.
Check permissions and maintenance
A shortcut does not bypass the extension’s outbound permissions or usage charges. Verify the called number, caller ID and call record. Before reusing or removing a shortcut, check phone templates and staff instructions so familiar digits do not unexpectedly reach a different destination.
