Sign in to the customer portal and select the intended Hosted PBX. Check its name or billing code before editing; each PBX has separate extensions and call routes.
Add an exact caller ID
- Find a confirmed unwanted inbound call in Call history. Copy the caller ID in the format actually received.
- Create a blacklist entry with that exact number and a short reason or support reference. The field is an exact caller ID; do not enter a wildcard or prefix as though it were a pattern.
- Save, then verify the blocked identity and a legitimate caller separately.
- Remove the exact entry when it is no longer needed and retest the normal route.
What this control does
Caller ID can be missing or spoofed. Blocking a displayed number can stop repeated nuisance calls using that identity, but does not authenticate a caller or replace account security and cost controls. Keep the reason useful to future administrators without storing unrelated personal information.
