Route calls by business hours and conditions

Sign in to the customer portal and select the intended Hosted PBX. Check its name or billing code before editing; each PBX has separate extensions and call routes.

Create the rule

  1. Choose the condition that matches your requirement. Weektime handles weekly opening hours; calendar/date rules handle holidays and exceptional dates.
  2. Use the correct local timezone and enter the time or date range. Do not compensate for a wrong timezone by shifting opening hours.
  3. Set the destination for a matching condition and a separate destination for a non-match.
  4. Place holiday conditions before ordinary business hours when a holiday must override the normal schedule.
  5. Attach the condition to the number, IVR or call flow that should use it.

Other available conditions

The editor can also evaluate caller ID, extension status, several extensions, variables, authentication or an approved AGI result. Choose the corresponding fields in the editor; these conditions are not interchangeable with a weekly schedule.

Example

Main number → holiday check → business-hours check → queue when open, or closed-hours announcement and voicemail when closed. Every branch needs a final destination.

Save and verify

Review the selected PBX and proposed values, then save. Place a controlled call through the affected route and check Call history. Include busy, unanswered and after-hours cases where they apply. Keep the previous configuration until the new route is verified.
